In-Screed kits are unique pre-laid systems for in-screed installation – the only product of its type in Australia.
The cable is pre attached to a mat in a similar fashion to the under-tile kit.
This unique product removes a lot of the hassle during installation as the heating cable is pre-spaced on the mat – providing an easy way of laying the cable in-screed.
Heat your tiles quickly and efficiently – exactly what is needed so your bathroom is warm when you get up in the morning! This product is also suitable to use under vinyl planks.
Each thermostat can cover up to 23sq/m. Select the kit size to cover your “free floor” area only (do not include the area under the sink, toilet, vanity etc.) Allow 100mm away from walls.
NOTE: this product can by DIY installed but must be commissioned (connected) by a licenced electrical contractor and connected to a thermostat and an RCD to comply with current AS/NZS 3000 wiring regulations.
If you have a wooden sub-floor you will need to lay tile backer board prior to installation of the cable mats.
The in-screed cables are approx. 6mm in diameter and carry 20 watts per linear metre. They are designed to be installed in a thin-screed of approx 25-40mm Sand and Mortar, are usually fixed down to the existing slab with a fine galvanized mesh or specialised fixing clips.
They act as a direct floor heating system & are ideal for new bathrooms & most bathroom renovations.
